Archestra, a UK-based startup building infrastructure for enterprise AI, has raised $3.3 million in Pre-Seed funding to develop an open-source platform that lets companies safely integrate generative AI tools with their internal systems.

The round was led by early-stage investor Concept Ventures, with participation from Zero Prime Ventures, Celero Ventures, RTP Global, and Aloniq. The raise, which closed in less than two weeks, also brought in notable angels, including Max Hauser (Managing Director & Partner at BCG) and Maxim Konovalov (co-founder of Nginx).

Tackling AI’s enterprise data problem

Founded by serial entrepreneurs Matvey Kukuy and Ildar Iskhakov, Archestra is targeting one of the thorniest challenges in enterprise AI adoption: how to connect Large Language Models (LLMs) to sensitive company data without compromising security.

While AI agents plugged into internal tools like Slack, email, CRMs, and HR platforms can automate workflows and boost productivity, they also introduce risks. An unsupervised agent could access confidential salary data or delete critical files.

Archestra’s answer is a “security-first orchestrator” built on top of the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an emerging framework introduced by Anthropic in late 2024. MCP enables LLMs to interact with enterprise systems more effectively, but it remains unsuitable for large-scale corporate use without added safeguards.

The bigger picture

Tech giants including Microsoft, Google, and OpenAI are all racing to push generative AI into enterprise environments. But for many companies, trust and security remain the biggest barriers to adoption.

Archestra is betting that an open-source, security-first approach will give it a unique position as enterprises explore how to harness autonomous AI agents at scale.
