Bolt, Pony.ai and Stellantis are teaming up for an autonomous mobility pilot in Luxembourg, marking Bolt’s first project of this kind. The program will test driverless technology in real urban traffic while evaluating safety, performance and regulatory readiness.
The Luxembourg program is designed as a living lab, meaning it will operate in public traffic rather than in a closed test environment. That should help the partners validate how autonomous vehicles behave under local road conditions and how they integrate with ride-hailing services.
Each partner is contributing a different layer of the project. Bolt brings its ride-hailing platform and market reach, Pony.ai provides autonomous-driving technology and operational experience, and Stellantis adds engineering and vehicle production expertise through its L4-Ready™ platform.
Luxembourg is becoming an important test market because of its forward-looking regulatory approach. The partners say the country’s environment is well suited to validating autonomous mobility in Europe and coordinating with authorities.
