Tonies, the children’s digital audio platform behind the Toniebox, reported strong results for the first half of 2025, with group revenue rising 20.3% year-over-year at constant currency to €176.6 million.

Growth was fueled by international expansion, with revenues outside the DACH region now contributing 60% of total sales, up from 51% a year earlier. North America grew 28.3% year-over-year to €70.9 million.

France expanded its installed base by 20% in just six months, while revenues in the Rest of World region surged 76.4% to €34.9 million, aided by rapid uptake in Australia and New Zealand.

In the DACH region, sales dipped slightly to €70.8 million due to prior-year wholesale ordering patterns, but momentum returned in Q2, supported by the launch of Book Tonies aimed at children aged 5 and older.

From a product standpoint, figurine sales grew 27.9% year-over-year to €136.7 million, cementing the popularity of both licensed and original content. Since launch, Tonies has sold over 9.5 million Tonieboxes and 125 million figurines worldwide.

Gross margin expanded to 70.9% from 67.2% a year earlier, supported by lower logistics costs, a stronger USD/EUR exchange rate, and improved product mix. Contribution profit jumped 38.3% to €75.8 million.

Tonies is the world’s largest interactive audio platform for children with more than 9.5 million Tonieboxes and approx. 125 million Tonies sold. Tonieboxes have been activated in over 100 countries, the content portfolio includes more than 1,300 Tonies in several languages.
