German IT service provider adesso SE reports it remains on track to meet its 2025 growth targets after posting strong half-year results, highlighted by a near doubling of second-quarter operating earnings.

Sales rose 13% year-over-year to €356.1 million in Q2, while operating profit (EBITDA) jumped 95% to €19.3 million, boosted by license revenues in the product business and higher employee utilization.

For the first half, cumulative sales grew 12% to €709.5 million, with EBITDA climbing 34% to €37.2 million, representing a 5.2% margin. The company confirmed its full-year guidance, projecting 2025 sales between €1.35 billion and €1.45 billion and EBITDA in the range of €105 million to €125 million.

Growth was driven by demand across most industries, particularly healthcare (+27%) and utilities (+22%). Automotive was the only core sector to decline, slipping 7%. Public sector revenues rose 9% to €109.1 million despite delayed budget approvals.

While personnel costs increased 10% to €493.7 million, they remained below revenue growth. However, material expenses surged 26% to €111.5 million due to greater reliance on external project staff.

With more than 10,700 employees and annual sales of around EUR 1.3 billion in 2024, adesso is one of the largest German IT service providers with locations in Germany, Europe and Asia.
