Adesso has reported a strong first half of 2025, with the IT services leader on track to meet its full-year sales and profit goals. Revenue for the period rose 12% year-over-year to €709.5 million, driven entirely by organic growth.
The second quarter was a standout, with sales climbing 13% to €356.1 million and operating earnings (EBITDA) nearly doubling to €19.3 million, helped by license income from its product business. Cumulative EBITDA for the first half reached €37.2 million, up 34% from last year, boosting the EBITDA margin from 4.4% to 5.2%.
Growth was broad-based across core industries, particularly healthcare (+27%) and utilities (+22%), while automotive saw a 7% decline. The public sector, adesso’s largest revenue contributor, grew 9% despite slower-than-expected budget releases. International revenues rose 6%, but Germany remained the main growth engine with a 14% increase.
Although personnel expenses rose 10%, hiring slowed compared to revenue growth, improving employee utilisation. Material costs jumped 26% due to greater reliance on external partners, but management expects this to ease with renewed hiring momentum.
Looking ahead, adesso sees continued demand for digitalisation services, especially in insurance, defense, and infrastructure. Seven additional working days in the second half, plus further license deals, are expected to lift results. The company reaffirmed its 2025 forecast of €1.35–1.45 billion in sales and €105–125 million in EBITDA.
