Delivery Hero has introduced a new rider-centric feature that lets couriers choose their final drop-off point, giving them greater control over their workday and potentially improving operational efficiency.
The ‘Last Stop’ option, developed at the company’s Berlin headquarters, is already live on foodpanda in Hong Kong, Pakistan, and Taiwan, as well as foodora in Finland, Norway, and Hungary. A wider rollout across the group’s other brands and markets is under way.
The feature responds to one of riders’ most frequent requests: avoiding long trips far from home at the end of a shift. By allowing riders to pin a location in the app for their final delivery, the system’s algorithm can direct the last order to within roughly two kilometers of that point in most cases.
We’re delighted with how well the feature has been received so far. Riders now have more flexibility and control of their schedule

Feedback from early markets has been strong. In Hungary, foodora rider Gergely M. praised the change, saying it “makes the end of our sessions stress-free” and helps save fuel while enabling more deliveries.
Founded in 2011, Delivery Hero operates in around 70 countries and has expanded beyond food delivery into quick commerce, offering groceries and household items in under an hour. The company has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2017.
