Berlin startup WALLROUND, founded in 2024, has raised €4.2 million in an oversubscribed seed round to accelerate digital, energy-efficient building renovations.

The round was led by VC fund Revent and impact investor GGF, with Vonovia increasing its stake. The company also announced a new advisory board, including Kai Enders, former DACH CEO of Engel & Völkers.

WALLROUND’s mission is to create Europe’s largest renovation franchise while tackling outdated, inefficient renovation processes that slow the shift toward energy-efficient buildings.

Its technology-driven platform integrates every step of the process—from digital property analysis and planning to procurement, execution, and quality assurance. Targeting private landlords and institutional investors, WALLROUND addresses a largely untapped segment of the German real estate market.

Our goal is to make renovations so simple that any property owner can decarbonize economically and efficiently. We’re not just offering a service—we’re building a system capable of meeting massive demand

CEO and co-founder Lukas Steinhilber

The new funding will fuel nationwide expansion, automate customer and planning processes, and strengthen key roles in technology, operations, and product development.
